This film is TRUE to the 1980s music, dress, mannerisms, and teenage angst! A Really FUN FAMILY FILM...Watch it if for no other reason than to relive some of those 1980's moments: opening up your new cassette music tape, carrying a boom box around, watching a bright orange/red Chevy Camaro IROC cruise the streets of Ocean City, MD; the sights and sounds of OC, the "Madonna" look-alikes, the hair styles with the "weird updo bangs" (crafted by my friend, Sherri Bramlett!) ... Seriously...just a fun moment in time with lessons learned and a new reason to play Ping Pong!

This just took me back so hard to 1985!!! The way it was shot. Acted. Edited. Scripted. Wardrobed......oh and the Summer Fun of being 14! THE MUSIC was so on target. - Please bring drum machines and synths back!!!! - If someone showed this to me and if two famous actors were not in it...I would've asked.."When did this come out...because I don't remember it!!!!" The only thing that gave it away was ONE hand-held close up that was too jittery. When they use the hand-held style and are not carefull...it shows the overuse of the "fad" of that is overkilled today.....which I despise. You see...... because back in the day..they tried so hard to keep the camera steady because IT LOOKED GOOD!! This movie hits home to most everyone's idea of the awkward attempt at a first kiss. Oh the angst. It's all there. This was so much fun. I can't wait to take my husband. I saw a special screening with a friend....and I could not wait to tell him about it. THE MUSIC...Deaaammmnnn!!!
